Came here with a friend since she needs to take a train shortly after dinner and the location of Chez Xu was pretty convenient. We were welcomed warmly by the staff even though we didn’t make a reservation and it was peak hour. During the whole meal all the staffs were very friendly despite how busy they were. As of food, I got the roasted duck and my friend got the beef fried noodles. We also shared a serving of shrimp dumplings. The shrimp dumplings were very nice with minimal seasoning to elevate the taste of the ingredients. The mains are not the most authentic but the seasoning for both dishes were not too heavy and does remind us of the taste in Hong Kong (my friend and I have both worked there before). It is a great place for a casual dinner.- Service

I did see some people eat alone and they ordered rice meals. I don’t remember seeing those specific meals in the menu but I think it’s available if you just ask about it if you’re eating alone. :)
Staff are sooo incredibly friendly and patient. I’ve noticed they mostly speak French but understand English, too, so no problem if you’re not local. The guy there speaks fluent English and French so we found him very helpful.
This place was recommended to us by my uncle who’s lived in Lausanne for around a decade.
On different occassions, we’ve tried the spicy beef stew, spicy beef szechuan style, crispy chicken, fried rice with veggies, shrimp dumplings, and sprill rolls. Wine selection is also not bad!

- I saw plenty of good vegetarian options! Didn’t get to try much except for the spring rolls as I shared orders with a group, but I remember seeing there was a variety to choose from.

- They asked about allergies, but best to communicate with them prior to ordering if you have specific restrictions.

- Not entirely sure about any easy access for solo people in wheelchairs, as the only path I saw and have tried going there is the steep uphill walk from the gare. Maybe if you’re assisted by someone helping push you uphill, it’s doable. :) The restaurant itself has flat areas so you can definitely still have enough space to move around and eat there, whether inside or outside.

For Lausanne this place was a great experience and surprise. Portions are large, prices are ok for CH, servers are super lovely. If you are looking for a super fancy restaurant - it is probably not for you but this seems like a family owned home type of good food. I really liked it.

Very good lunch as always. I’ve been there multiple times since they opened and the food quality hasn’t decrease. They increased the prices a little over the year but the high quantity of food per dish remained the same. Very nice service. Speak Chinese and Cantonese.

We bought the spicy lamb pot, spicy beef and the dumplings with fried rice. Everything was excellent, little oily but can't beat the taste. Most of the customer chose to sit outside and enjoy the food. Highly recommend and definitely a place if you traveling through LausanneMy favorite lunch spot. Attentive service. They have menu du jour changing every week with reasonable price. But I really like their homemade noodles soup.

Oh what a lovely experience at Chez Xu! The food was delicious, and served in generous portions. The service was quick despite the number of patrons. The atmosphere is also great: simple, authentic, sincere are the adjectives that describe this wonderful restaurant. I will certainly return, and recommend it to friends.

Was here for lunch, ordered roast duck set with an appetiser, a soft drink and a coffee for 22 chf. Food portion is pretty huge. taste wise the duck was fried rather than roasted, tasted fine as well.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Sichuan food. So glad to finally find a spot in Switzerland with traditional food with big portions and good prices. Service is lovely and make sure to bring cash as they don’t take card.

Never had a Bœuf Piquant so we had no clue what it was, there wasn’t much of a description on UberEats but with a 95% rating, so we decided to give it a go! Sliced Beef with Birds Eye Chilli, Celery, Cabbage in a tangy sourish soup with Riz Cantonais which effectively is also called Fried Rice. Best decision ever!
My friend had Aubergines Impérial, which was pork strips and aubergine in thick craving with a tinge of spice with White Rice.
The Dim Sums we ordered were okay but they probably were not home made and might be of the frozen variety.
All in all, the dishes were tasty, the quality was good and the portions were generous! Would definitely be looking to order from Chez Xu again!- Service

Always a good quality/price. The food came in big portion and it was delicious. Be careful about the payment as they don't except cards, cash only. So make sure you have enough cash with you. In the worst case, there are ATMs at the train station close-by.

Excellent authentic Chinese food. Recommend the pork dumplings, very generous fillings and great taste.
Open for dining inside the restaurant, much less seats, however much less busy than normal.

比起小红书推荐的，吃中餐我宁愿来这里。首先态度就很正常！同样是餐点，同样是非常忙碌的时间，小红书上推荐的中餐直接拒绝我说没位置，甚至不给我机会说可不可以打包或者让我等一会儿，就直接和下个客人说话了。而这家，态度端正，不会歧视一个人来吃饭的人。另外味道也不差，而且价钱是真的非常便宜！在瑞士吃饭，正餐一个人都是平均50CHF，而这里只用了28CHF。牛肉炒饭，如果能有大小份就好了，因为真的太多，一个人吃不下。酸辣汤，在下雨天简直不要太适合了！
